The Grief Robbers – Cremation or Memorial Diamonds.

To put it simply, DON’T DO IT.

Whether a loved family member, friend, or even a pet. It’s all the same and it’s all just advertising claims with no independent scientific support.

This is the third warning that we have posted. Please share and help spread the world. No evidence has subsequently emerged that would cause a change of our opinion. On the contrary, the evidence mounts that the claims of the sellers are without basis in fact. No independent studiy exists to support the claims of the sellers and a great deal of evidence exists to debunk it. When examined against peer-reviewed scientific research, the claims of so-called “cremation diamond” companies appear to be false and misleading to consumers.

At one time, promoters claimed that they made a diamond from the ashes of the beloved. Perhaps some still make that claim. But now that it is known beyond doubt that there is not enough carbon in cremated ashes to make a 1 mm pencil lead, much less a diamond, the gambit or back-up sales-pitch to the bereaved and vulnerable has shifted to something like “well, actually we add a bit of the ashes and carbon traces of your loved one to the elemental or pure graphite carbon in the crucible, so that when the diamond is formed. some of that ash – a bit of your loved one – remains in the synthetic diamond.” There is no verifiable evidence for this. Ask them for an independent study that supports their claim. None exists. And that is because there is no independent scientific evidence that sipports this claim.
